Back To Blogging Means Back To Restoring Blogging

If you’ve been reading this for awhile, you know that part of the reason for registering this particular domain was an intention to restore over twenty years of blogging from across various and different sites, services, and domains. You can gather as much from the posts page.

As of this week’s return to a previous service after returning to blogging after quitting in March, the archive isn’t just back to where it was when I left off, but has added, I think, a few hundred more posts I hadn’t yet gotten to previously.

Further, I spent a fair chunk of this afternoon doing prepatory work for methodically going through a few more batches, much of which is from the start of the pandemic. All told, these new batches consist of around 100 posts from write.as, around 400 from write.house, and around 2,100 from bix.blog. I’ve got to go through them to manually confirm formatting and tagging and such. That will take awhile, but it’s all been organized, so it’s just a matter of putting something I’ve already seen on television and doing scut work and data entry.

There’s another batch after these three batches that I haven’t yet culled for posts already imported, but once I’ve gotten to that batch, we will be substantially close to finished with all my blog posts from 2018 to the present.

Then I get to really tear into the real history of my blogging and start filling in the decades prior to my autism diagnosis, which basically is the demarcation line between what I consider my current blogging era and all of my previous ones.
