A ‘Park And Bash’ Dream
Our primary heroes are Park, an activist and thief, and Bash, a hacker and former video game designer. They’ve somehow ended up with a spaceship that’s far too large for a crew of five, and are still trying to get the hang of it.
Somehow they’ve ended up in a type of wormhole that requires you to take antidepressants before you traverse it, but they don’t have any. While battling the descending malaise Park tries to keep the ship on course while Bash tries to fix their robot who has been feeling very put upon and rejected even before they entered the wormhole. The problem, she explains, is that most of her code from her video game days that she’s drawing upon for the fix was full of linguistic shorthand and she’d gotten most of it from cops. So it’s really not helping matters.
Meanwhile, the other two crew members, who appear to be off-ship at the moment, have their own issues.
Their forensic accountant (played by Željko Ivanek) has gotten a job offer from the feds and isn’t sure what to do, and their solider has been hiding the fact that she once had a child that she lost years ago and is determined to find—but unbeknownst to her, Park and Bash have learned this and have quietly sworn to each other that they will give it everything they’ve got if the solider asks for their help.
I woke up.
