  1. There’s a distinct decline in my ability to shape, form, convey my thoughts, or put in the work to develop them. You’d have to know my history; I once spent 3 years covering local politics through original reporting, completely independently. The mere idea exhausts me now.

  2. I can somewhat relate to that, although in a different field. I used to be a programmer. Not a great one, but sometimes I could find clever solutions. Now I receive a meager pension from the government. Not to complain, but the social drop has been long and steep.
